Kehadiran Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2004 (UU KDRT) merupakan tonggak penting dalam upaya negara memberikan perlindungan terhadap korban kekerasan dalam lingkup domestik. Undang-undang ini menegaskan bahwa kekerasan dalam rumah tangga tidak hanya berbentuk kekerasan fisik, tetapi juga meliputi kekerasan psikis, kekerasan seksual, dan penelantaran rumah tangga. Dengan demikian, perlindungan hukum tidak lagi terbatas pada luka yang tampak secara kasatmata, melainkan juga mencakup penderitaan mental dan emosional korban.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;
